The D5500 offers superior image quality and rich reproduction capabilities for excellent detail with an effective pixel count of 24.2-million pixels, a Nikon DX-format CMOS sensor, and the EXPEED 4 image-processing engine.<\/p>\n
Adoption of a monocoque structure made of a carbon-fiber composite material*2, and a completely new layout for the internal structure have achieved a smaller, lighter, and slimmer camera while preserving great strength and durability.
