Hungarian photography is returning to one of its important points of reference with New Encounters: 1976\u20132026 \u2013 Hemz\u0151 and the Hemz\u0151 Prize Winners<\/em>, an exhibition at the M\u0171csarnok in Budapest. The exhibition marks fifty years since Hemz\u0151 K\u00e1roly presented his Tal\u00e1lkoz\u00e1saim<\/em> (My Encounters<\/em>) exhibition at the same institution in 1976. Rather than simply reconstructing a historic exhibition, the current presentation places Hemz\u0151’s photographs in dialogue with the work of younger Hungarian photographers associated with the Hemz\u0151 K\u00e1roly Prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
